Dry Ice Blasting, a Better Industrial Cleaning Alternative

Dry ice blasting is an amazing industrial cleaning alternative to sandblasting and pressure washing with water! Our dry ice blasting service…

  • effectively remove heavy oils, bitumen, corrosion, mold, mildew, algae, paint and more
  • reduce downtime, clean in place with no dismantling and no drying time
  • drastically reduces waste disposal and/or containment costs
  • water and chemical free
  • safer, dry ice blasting does not expose your equipment to water, sand, or other grit
  • non-abrasive and non-flammable

Dry ice blasting is an innovative industrial cleaning process where pellets of dry ice are propelled at high speeds to clean a surface. These pellets are accelerated to hyper-sonic speeds at the surface that needs to be cleaned. The dry ice particles vaporize upon impact with the surface.

Efficient

Applying the cold temperature of the dry ice against the material requiring removal shrinks it and causes it to lose adhesion. The ice contacts the underlying surface. The warmer sub surface sublimates the solid carbon dioxide back into gaseous form. This gas has eight hundred times higher volume and expands behind the material, as a result releasing it from the surface.

Only the material removed requires disposal, because the dry ice sublimes into the air. As a result, this procedure removes materials such as oil, grease, decals, tar, adhesives, asphalt, corrosion and more found across industry.

Safe

Prevent damage to your equipment by cleaning it with CO2. Dry ice is non-abrasive and does not wear away or erode the targeted surface, therefor the integrity of the surface is preserved. Electrical and other equipment sensitive to water are also ideal candidates for dry ice blasting.

Convenient

Clean electrical equipment in place and use immediately. Paint surfaces immediately after cleaning on account of no drying time.
